The last years mounted animals and naturalia have seen an explosion of interest in the world of interiors. Of course, the popularity of taxidermy is nothing new. Examples of embalmed animals date back to the Egyptians and there are some crudely preserved birds from the 1740s. In the Victorian age taxidermy was very popular.
And now it's back! Taxidermy is timeless, and mounted animals can be an eye catcher in every interior. The idea of using taxidermy to create an integral element of a home’s interior design is staging a comeback. This is partly because people realise that animals are no longer being hunted for taxidermy. It’s a form of recycling now, and there are very strict laws.
All the animals that we mount have died a natural death in for example a zoo.
Have a look how you can use taxidermy in your interior on our inspiration page. If you have any special request, do not hesitate to contact us.
