Beautiful mounted and very rare white song thrush, also known as leucistic song thrush.
Species: Turdus philomelos
Origin: Eurasia and North Africa
In the wild, white song thrushes are much less common. The song characteristic of the song thrush, with melodic phrases repeated two or more times, is described by the nineteenth-century British poet Robert Browning in his poem Home Thoughts, from Abroad:
That's the wise thrush; he sings each song twice over,
Lest you should think he never could recapture
The first fine careless rapture!
